Meet your trainer
Tim Carroll is a firearms instructor and competitive shooter based in East Tennessee. Tim's passion for firearms began in his mid-20s, and he has been instructing in the field for almost a decade.
In 2012, Tim started instructing informally after beginning training with Tiger McKee at Shootrite Firearms Academy. This experience motivated him to pursue an NRA certification, and he began instructing in a more official capacity.
In 2017, Tim's dedication to firearms instruction led him to accept an apprenticeship with Tiger McKee at Shootrite Firearms Academy, where he continues to hone his skills and knowledge to this day.
As a competitive shooter, Tim brings a unique perspective to his instruction. He understands the importance of accuracy, speed, and safety when handling firearms and emphasizes these skills in his courses.
In 2016, Tim founded LFX Firearms Training, his official firearms training business. Through LFX, Tim offers a variety of courses, including tactical, pistol, and rifle training, to individuals of all skill levels.
In 2021, Tim was appointed as the head instructor at Frontier Firearms in Kingston, TN. He takes great pride in passing on his knowledge and skills to his students, helping them become confident and responsible gun owners.
Tim's commitment to firearms instruction and safety has made him a respected figure in the East Tennessee shooting community. His dedication to the craft and love for his work shine through in every course he teaches.
